Corporate Training - Let us Train Your Notaries!

Employers, are your notaries well trained?  We can hold a seminar at your location for all existing notaries and new notary applicants.  Are you aware that you may be found liable if your notaries make an error or omission that causes harm to a signer in some way?

Although many employers are not aware of this statute, Florida law §117.05 (6) states:

The employer of a notary public shall be liable to the persons involved for all damages proximately caused by the notary's official misconduct, if the notary public was acting within the scope of his or her employment at the time the notary engaged in the official misconduct.

Although Florida law now requires new notaries to obtain notary training before a commission will be issued, many veteran notaries have practiced for years with no training whatsoever.

In many areas of Florida and Alabama, if you have a group of notaries (yes, you can pool with other offices) - including new notary applicants and experienced notaries - we can come to your location and teach your staff the proper notarial procedures necessary to minimize the notary's liability as well as the employer's.   Seminars are available in some other states as well.
